Privacy Policy

PushMyRank audits websites for search engines, answer engines and AI assistants. This page explains what information we collect to do that, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you create an account:

  • Your name and email address.
  • A password, if you sign up with one. We never store the password itself, only a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into it.
  • If you use Google sign-in: your Google name, email address and Google account ID, and whether Google has verified the email address. Nothing else (see below).
  • One-time codes we email you to verify your address or reset your password. Only a hash of each code is stored.

When you add a website: its address, your business name, type and main market, an optional description and competitor addresses, and the audit results we produce (scores, the problems we find, and for each page its title, headings, size, links, structured data and a short excerpt of its visible text).

When you run a free audit without an account: the website address you typed and the audit results. We also keep a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself, so we can apply the daily limit.

When you list a website in the directory: the name, description, category, country, web address and scores you choose to publish. These are shown publicly on the Directory page.

Technical data: our servers and hosting providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the service running.

How we use it

  • To run audits, show your results and track your progress over time.
  • To sign you in, keep your account secure and send the codes and notices you need.
  • To run the public directory, including checking that you own a website before it is listed.
  • To prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google sign-in

If you choose "Continue with Google", PushMyRank asks Google only for your basic profile: your name, email address and account ID (the openid, email and profile permissions). We use them to create or find your account and to confirm your email address. We do not read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts or any other Google data, and we do not share Google user data with anyone for advertising or other purposes.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host the website and database and deliver our email. They process data on our behalf and only to provide those services.
  • Google, if you use Google sign-in, as part of that sign-in.
  • The public, only for what you choose to publish in the directory.
  • Authorities, if we are required to by law.

Our crawler visits the websites you ask us to audit. Those sites will see requests from PushMyRankBot in their logs. See About PushMyRankBot.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a security cookie that protects forms, and short-lived cookies used while you sign in with Google. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and audit history while your account exists. One-time codes stop working after 15 minutes. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we delete your personal information, except where we must keep something for legal or security reasons.

Your choices

  • You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it, and to remove a directory listing.
  • You can withdraw Google access at any time in your Google Account settings under Security, then Third-party access.

To do any of this, write to pushmyrank@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law, and you can also contact your local data protection authority.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections, hashed passwords and codes, and access controls that keep each customer's data separate. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

PushMyRank is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email.
